📄 FAQ — MAC Crafted Rings
1. How do I know my ring size?
I have a full page which gives you the best method in detail, have a look in my menu section or in the footer of the website. We shape each ring to order, so sizing accuracy is key.
2. What materials are the rings made from?
Each ring is crafted from rescued vintage cutlery — primarily stainless steel, and occasionally silver-plated spoons. All pieces are durable, tarnish-resistant, and entirely unique.
3. Are the rings adjustable?
Yes — our standard rings are slightly adjustable. If you leave your ring size at checkout, we’ll pre-shape it to fit. If you need to tweak it later, we recommend gentle adjustments or contacting us for resizing.
4. How long will my order take?
Please allow 2–4 business days for crafting, plus 2–6 business days for shipping within Australia. We’ll send a tracking link once your ring is on its way.
5. Do you offer express shipping?
Not at this time. All orders are shipped via tracked standard post with Australia Post.
6. Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. We currently only ship within Australia. As the business grows, international options may be added.
7. Can I return or exchange my ring?
We accept returns only if the ring is faulty, damaged, or made in the wrong size. We do not accept returns for change of mind or incorrect sizing if the order was fulfilled as requested.
8. What if I ordered the wrong size?
We offer free resizing on request. You’ll need to cover return postage to us and the re-shipping fee. The resizing itself is free.
9. Can I request a custom engraving?
Custom engraving will be available soon as a $15 add-on. For now, all rings are marked with our “MAC” maker’s mark as standard.
10. How should I care for my ring?
Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Avoid harsh cleaners or chemicals. Store in a dry place to keep it looking its best.
11. Will my ring look exactly like the one in the photo?
No two rings are identical. Slight variations, vintage markings, or subtle signs of the spoon’s past life are part of the charm. Each ring is one of a kind.
12. Can I request a custom design or send in my own cutlery?
Not at this stage — but it’s something we will offer in the future. For now, all rings are made from carefully selected pieces we’ve sourced ourselves. Send me a message if you have a request though and I may introduce that service sooner if people are interested.
13. Do you do market stalls or in-person pickups?
We occasionally sell at local markets around Adelaide. Follow us on Instagram at @mac.crafted for updates. We don’t offer pickups at this time.
14. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and PayPal — all processed securely through Shopify.
