About MAC Crafted Rings
Old cutlery. New life. Rings with personality.
Hey, I’m Lachie — the hands behind MAC Crafted Rings.
What started as a backyard project quickly turned into something I love. I shape, polish, and finish each ring by hand using vintage cutlery I find in local op shops. Every piece is unique, personal, and built to last.
The Full Story
I’ve always loved spoon rings — the weight, the detail, the fact that no two are ever the same. For years I wore them myself, and people always asked where I got them. Eventually, I figured... why not try making one?
It started as a one-off backyard project, now it’s grown into MAC Crafted Rings — a workshop built on creativity, attention to detail, and a healthy dose of DIY. Every ring is shaped, polished, and finished by hand using vintage cutlery I rescue from local op shops. I clean each piece thoroughly, buff it to a high shine, and bring out the best in the original design.
I’m not a jeweller by trade — I just think these are some of the best rings out there for people who want something meaningful, made to last, and a little bit different.

How it started
The first batch I made was just for fun — one for myself, one for my girlfriend, and a few for family. But they actually turned out really well. My family loved them, and soon people were asking if I could make custom pieces for them too. That led to me posting on Instagram, taking a few orders, and eventually setting up this site — a proper way for people to order my work.
Every ring is handmade by me in my backyard workshop in Adelaide. It’s a one-person operation — just me, a bunch of old spoons, and a stubborn obsession with making cool stuff by hand.

Where the rings come from
All my rings are made from vintage cutlery I’ve rescued from local op shops. I already loved op shopping, so now it’s even better — it’s like a treasure hunt. I’m always stoked when I find a new pattern or unexpected design, and half the fun is seeing how each one transforms into a ring.
Sometimes I don’t even know how good a piece is going to look until it’s bent, polished, and finished — a few of my favourites were ones I almost didn’t buy.
What Makes These Rings Different
- Personally selected, shaped, polished, and finished by hand
- Made from real vintage cutlery — no two are ever the same
- Crafted to last with solid materials (no green fingers here)
- Sustainably made from rescued op shop finds
- Designed to feel personal — not mass-produced
I want my rings to feel like an extension of your personality — like something you’d wear every day because it just fits.

The sustainability side (without the fluff)
I never set out to make an eco-product — but working with old cutlery naturally means each ring is a second chance at life. I think it’s cool that something forgotten can be brought back, cleaned up, and worn with pride. And because I use solid metals, these rings won’t just last — they’ll outlast the cheap stuff you usually find at this price point.
Why MAC?
MAC is a nod to my name — Lachie Mac — but it also stands for Made Again. Consciously.
Every ring is handmade from vintage materials with history, intention, and care. It's a slow process — and that's kind of the point. I’m proud to craft pieces that feel personal, unique, and built to last.
